RESULTS - Stableford Competition at Royal Golf and Country Club on Saturday 11 October 2025

A welcome return to Royal Golf, a course in fabulous condition, a heavy rain storm dodged and some great scores - it was a good day to be playing this Londoner golf competition yesterday! Yes, we were back at Royal for the first time in a few years (July 2023 to be precise) and the course was lovely. Busy mind, the car park was full of mini-buses and it felt like the centre of 'golf tours inc.' whilst waiting to start.

But what a joy to play, I felt it was like sliding on a favourite old pair of jeans as I enjoyed remembered experiences on each hole. At the end of the comp, Tad Han had shot the best stableford score - 39 points - and he took 1st place. Well done Tad - those new knees obviously suit you. Flights A, B and C respectively were won by Lukkana Kamsanthie (35 points and the lowest gross on the day - 78 shots), myself (Phil Mulligan - 37 points) and Andy Shaw (also 37 points).

Registration is open for our next event. A Stableford competition at Vintage Golf Club on Saturday 25 October. First tee time 11:32.

Registration is also open for the Club Championships which return for the 2nd consecutive year to Khao Yai Country Club on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November. Details as known right now are on the event page on True Handicap - sign up to secure your place and we will firm up the details and send out requests for hotel rooms at the course hotel (we will book for you at that hotel - no need to try and book independently).
