RESULTS - Match vs Wanderers at Floraville on Saturday 21 June 2025

Lovely conditions at Floraville for yesterday's annual match vs the Bangkok Wanderers. The conditions were only surpassed by the great spirit every game was played in and it was great to see everyone talking and laughing together about their rounds of golf - plus the amazing golf of course. The pairs Scramble MatchPlay format really keeps the games going well and helps the mindset as your partner can often help out when mistakes are made. We got lucky as a filthy storm passed just by the course and the accompanying rain only lasted a couple of holes although a couple of thunder cracks made us jump.

Once the scoring had been completed we found that the Wanderers had scored more points on the matches that started on hole 1 but that Londoners had won all but half a point from the matches that started on hole 10. As such the Londoners have retained the trophy with an overall win by 21.5 points to 10.5 points. Congratulations to our Londoners team and commiserations to Andrew Brown and the Wanderers team. This takes the overall score in the series to 6-4 in Wanderers' favour. Roll on next year!

Below are some pics of the trophy presentation, the winning Londoner team plus the most valuable pair from each team followed lastly by the final scoresheet.
